I noticed a spiffy new Honda dealership in vientiane last trip. Does anyone know if they sell the cbr 150 and 250 there?

Hi Marcus,

Yes, the 150 and 250 are available here and to purchase is somewhat difficult if you are not Lao or have a residency permit attached to a business visa. You'll need to have a local purchase the bike and take care of the final registration with the Lao vehicle department. This can take 2 to 6 weeks for the final plate and papers. In the mean time, you ride unplated or with a temporary plate and dealer issued ownership documents.

Thanks very much Jim. legally seems about the same rules as Thailand, or same hassle, whichever.
I am not interested in a cbr but I may be interested in their offroad version later on. Seeing as they have the cbr I have no doubt they will get the offroad version as well. Once again, thanks for taking the time.
