I'm planning on moseying to Ubon to see their Candle Festival next month. The primary days for the festival are July 29-30, but I should arrive on the 27th.

Does anyone else plan on attending?

If so...and accommodations are needed I can put you in touch with the Yank who owns the "Wrong Way Home" bar (xlnt Yank & Brit food, btw) and he can help secure reservations. There a new hotel with nice rooms, AC, all new showers and hong nam, beds (king) and all for a mere 350 baht a night, however during the two Festival days (29-30th) the price will be 100-150-Bt more. I'm told all the hotels fill up fast, so early reservations are necessary.
