I decided to try a different route back today, I took the 102 heading west out of Uttaradit, this joins the 101 just north of Si Satchanalai. Its right here and the 101 for about 12km then left onto the 1177 and another left about 30km later onto the 1125 to Wang Chin. At Wang Chin its a right turn onto the 1023 which meets the 11 between Lampang and Den Chai. Apart from leaving just before 8am this morning and freezing my nuts off until I reached Lampang this was a very pleasant route, obviously its a longer journey both in time and kms than using the 11 all the way from Uttaradit but a dam sight more interesting. The surface is in good condition and not much other traffic at all, plenty of curves and well worth trying
