Wat Ban Den – attraction north of Chiang Mai.
The Pha Chor – Mae Wang National Park is nice for some natural erosion features.
The Nam Phrae – Hang Dong – Sanpathong area also has numerous attractions
The Shrine for Japanese Soldiers is also another interesting site south-west of town.
The Mae Taeng – Sop Kai loop is an excellent day loop with beautiful forest, elephants and the Mae Taeng river. You can check out some Civet Coffee too.

Wat Pa Dara Phirom is a beautiful royal wat in Mae Rim.
The Khuang Phra Chao Lanna Buddhist Park in Mae Rim can be combined with a visit to Wat Pa Dara Phirom
all in and around Chiang Mai – you can’t get bored here! So take your time & linger longer.
