GT-Rider Website Makeover
There have been some changes, and we apologise if we confuse you in the process
GT-Rider Website
Regular visitors to the main website will have noticed a change or two… (June 3 2009) The old static HTML version was very difficult to maintain due to the sheer volume of pages, and it was not easy to find required content quickly. We hope we’ve addressed that, and we’ve also added significant additional image content. That will progressively be tagged by location / road number etc to make it easier to know whats where.
There’s also enhanced provision for advertising, improved search facilities and much more…
Thailand Motorcycle Forum
Currently, the forum / message board is running on phpBB v2.22 – upgraded from Snitz Forum software in Nov 2007. V.2.xx of phpBB is virtually obsolete, phpBB v3.x getting all the development. We are planning a migration to vBulletin instead of an upgrade to phpBB 3.
vBulletin is a commercial product, well supported and with good documentation. The “Adventure Rider” forum runs on vBulletin. It offers some enhanced functionality, and of course some trade-offs due to different feature sets. Overall, we think its the best way forwards for GT-Rider.com.
NB:
- There will be advance warning of the change over date.
- There will be minor inconveniences – you’ll probably have to reset your password etc.
Regards,
Ben

Where the hell do I find the forum on this new update?

There used to be two (2) categories for Lao trips, have these been combined to the single one now?

If you go to the forum itself the same categories are still there. It was just convenient for Ben to set it up like this – Trip Reports – on the website
