Just came back from another tour in north Thailand , our last one was in 2018 .
The original plan was- laos- but the fuel shortage and the borders status confused us , so we switched to plan B – north Thailand .
Once again , I got all the support and knowledge from your posts at This forum .
So I wish to thank you all for your data base and posts.
Bikes and riders –
We rented the bikes from pop rider –Suzuki vstorm 650 , with 2 sideboxes.
The bikes was in perfect condition.
Ram (58) and eran (55)
Traveled in Thailand , for a few times , traveled together 2018 on the nan region .
my first trip in Thailand was on 1990 ,in fact , my first motorbike ride was from Chiang Mai to pai .
back then We rented the bike, and focused on staying on the bikes so hard we didn't even notice that we drove for more than an our against the traffic direction.
on the mae hong son loop-1990
Day 1- Chiang Mai- Wat Chaloem Phra Kiat-chiang mai-
Day 2- chiang mai- wat ban den- rural raod 3052 – 1095 -pai .
wat ban den – spectacular!!!
Riding the 3052 was great, narrow, twisty and lots of perfect spot for coffee .
And - 1095 – great as ever , for me, it's one of the beast roads .
Thanks to the nice lady on the songtau , who filmed me and "air drop" the picture while riding .
Day 3 -pai-ban rak thai-mae hong son.
Ban rak thai – a must, it was our first time there , somehow we skiped it on our tours so far.
Day 4- mae hong son-4009-mae sariang
4009- thank you all for this revelation .
This rural steep (very!) and twisty (very!) road was realy fun (very!)
Day 5 – mae sariang -mae sot .
Says 6.7.8 – umphang – Thi Lo Su Waterfall
the roads very difficult - the 160 km to umphang took us almost the entire day.
Day 9 – Sukhothai –
The night market at the temples on Saturday –
day 10- back to chiang mai via road 106.
We will defiantly be back .
Thank you all for your help
