These places make life on the road so much easier, especially in the wet season.
No more soggy smelly clothes.
Coupled with a some lightweight gtr shirts, rather than the old cotton tshirts you can travel a hell of a lot lighter today than you could a decade or two ago. Thermal underwear in the cold season has also been a massive help to lightening the load and doing away with warm jumpers etc.
