Pannier Rack, Diy Or Buy Genuine?

I just bought a RE Himalayan. Great bike, runs well, good ergos etcetc. I was looking for pannier racks or saddle stays that will keep soft panniers from the exhaust. They seem easy to have made here at a metal/machine shop (I'm in BKK
