Just a head's up to other owners if they have the same symptoms.
A ticking/clicking sound from the engine when cold.
Turns out I need a new camshaft tensioner.
Other issues with the bike is engine knocking when under load. And just before taking it in to be fully serviced the power went from above 6000-7000rpm, and it would just free rev when above this approx rpm.
The camshaft tensioner is noted as wear and tear and not covered by warranty - bike is 12 months old with 24,000km.
Hopefully it didn't damage such things as the valves which could be bent as a result. Or debris getting in the oil and causing any other damage. Which if is the case I hope it should be under warranty and not 'wear and tear'. :roll:
