Some info that has been passed onto me

" Cross-border transport enterprise registration application form" ( see Annex 1 ) ;
(2) the administrative department issued a " business license" copies ;

3 technical supervision departments issued the " People's Republic of Organization Code Certificate " ( hereinafter " Organization Code Certificate " ) copies ;

4 transportation management agencies issued a " road transport operators permit ", " road passenger transport class lines operating permit ," a copy ;

5 List of companies belong to the driver and the driver's valid identity documents for each copy of a copy of a driver's license , color photograph 2 ( specification: 1 inch, bareheaded , red ) .
Enterprises replacement driver , the driver shall promptly report to Customs for a change , filing procedures ;

6 other customs that need to submit documents. Submit a copy of this 2,3,4,5 -in file , you also shall also produce the original originals for customs check .

( Two ) foreign nationality cross-border transport companies apply for registration , it shall be submitted to the customs entry or exit the following documents:
1 . " Cross-border transport enterprise registration application form" ;
(2) Corporate belongs to each driver and the driver's list of valid ID photocopy , color photograph 2 ( specification: 1 inch, bareheaded , red ) .
Enterprises replacement driver , the driver shall promptly report to Customs for a change , filing procedures ;
3 other customs that need to submit documents.

By all accounts it's still very expensive to bring your vehicle in to China... Personally I reckon it would make more sense to fly in and rent or buy locally.

Shame that the Chinese can bring their cars to Thailand on temporary import at minimal expense but it costs a small fortune to bring a Thai vehicle in to China...
