I recently changed my password and email address, but after doing so found that every thread on the forum was locked after logging in. This occurred for about 24 hours.
Then I thought to go to check the email that was now my new forum address and look in SPAM. Sure enough, an email change had been sent to the new email address and required that I activate the change by executing a link in the email. After doing so, I was able to respond and post on the forum.
