Is the Xanakham - Chiang Khan open for motor bikes

We are planning a trip through Laos and thinking about taking the Vang Vien, Xana Khan - Chiang Khan border croosing and then through Loei back to Chiang Mai.

I can not find any write up on this border crossing and although it shows on the map I hav
