    New road linking Bokeo-Luang Namtha opened for public use

    (KPL) The construction of a new road runs from Ban Siengdao to Ban Nampha, Meung district, Bokeo province has been fully completed.
    Deputy Head Office of the Bokeo Public Works and Transport Service, Mr Khamphai Phongthachack said yesterday that the construction work began mid-May, the road is 17.5-km long and 4.5-m wide and the construction costs over 1.5 billion kip financed by the World Bank and the Lao Government.
    The construction work is carried out by a local road and bridge construction company of Sodthida.
    Mr. Khamphai continued that the construction of this road connects Meung district to Long district of Luang Namtha province.
    This new road will facilitate goods transportation and communication between two districts.
    This is a part of the infrastructure development and poverty reduction programme of Borkeo province.

    has anyone ridden this stretch of new road?

    can you confirm this runs along the mekong from
    xieng dao to xieng kok?

    and what's the condition of this highway, as well as the
    connecting route from poung (on hwy 3) north to xieng dao?
