P { margin-bottom: 0.08in; } My bride had the idea yesterday to rip up to Doi Suthep and see the Thai Sukura trees (cherry blossom). She wanted to go on her Yamaha Meo and so myself on a Honda 250CRF and who am I to argue.
The road was packed with traffic up to Doi Suthep and still busy on to Doi Pui and Baan Chang Khian which surprised me for a Monday but the trees look magnificent.
sorry about this shot but its mandatory in Thailand...
We thought of going back the same way and confronting the less than courteous drivers on route. However after a bit of a chat at Baan Chang Khian with the waitress over lunch, we found that you can continue over the mountain to Huay Tung Thao and so off we went. A bit bouncy on the Meo but a job well done for the wife.
Very happy with herself...
So it just goes to show, you dont have to go far to see these wonderful trees from Chiang Mai. What a beautiful country Thailand can be.
