David, thanks for the post I would have missed the event otherwise. I went Thursday 02.04...
Below a few pics: a selective vision of the event.

The motorcycle hall hosts girlie-dance shows contrary to the others halls devoted to cages.
Honda girls:

Honda 's promotion was also strongly based on the local racing hero Ratthapark Wilairot from Chonburi
P1000376.jpg

Besides girls there were some interesting prototypes like this pliable scooter (Yamaha)

P1000336.jpg

And this:
P1000369.jpg

Not to mention the enduro scooter:
P1000340.jpg

This is not a prototype:

The brand Sachs is strong on design. Here the MadAss:
MadAss.jpg

Still with Sachs an incursion into classic bikes for less than 50 000 Bahts:
P1000357.jpg

The brand also offers a dirt bike:
P1000360.jpg

Zhongchen too but less girls on the Chinese maker stand (Confucianist austerity?)
P1000348.jpg

Kawasaki plans to introduce a 150cc trail bike and a 140cc cross bike. I asked them about any plan to sell the 400 KLX... Negative answer. It's a shame.

Bangkok based "Dirt Shop" is present

And of course one can eat get massage, buy business shirts and shoes, tools, etc... And sleep.

Cheers

Hi Ian,
They were doing a survey about the KLX 150; asking people they would be ready to pay for it...

According to the attendant most people said they would pay 70 000-80 000 Bahts, with rego/plate for the KLX 150...
It's a pity about the KLX 400. That's the one I really would like to see in the showroom.
Cheers
