I'll be starting from Chequers Pub, Sukhumvit Soi 4 in April, not quiet sure of the exact day yet. Just wanted to try and generate a bit of interest as I'll be riding down for Phuket Bike week. This will be the first mini leg of my round the world trip in these troubled times...... :D

World renowned Rock band Status Quo will also be involved in a small way in my trip. More soon!

tell us a bit more, when and how the idea was born. Will you go East or West.
How much time you will take, brief synopsis of preparation, budget , whatever.

I met and introduced http://www.eiova.com/index.php?main_pag ... &cPath=121
to the GT -Riders.
After 2.5 years on the road they felt a bit worn out, decided to skip India and to fly including bike to Turkey and continue back home to London from there.

I envy you !

Pico,

South to Singapore, Perth to Sydney, Christchurch to Auckland, Anchorage to NYC. Lisbon to London (Via Morocco with ny brother on his Triumph Tiger). London to Calcutta or what ever they call it now via Eastern Europe, Turkey, Iran Pakistan and across India, back through the back door of Singapore and up again. Hopefully home for Christmas.

Got a couple of sponsors from the UK and USA, and I hope I can share the experience here with you lot as Thailand is home for me....

Admirable that you are doing it for the benefit of some charities. I stand to be corrected but I think you are resident in Chiang Mai right? If so, why not have a leaving party from here too? I certainly wouldn't object to paying double price for beer/food if I knew the extra was going to charity. Good idea? And yeah, I envy you too ;-)

Cheers,

Pikey.

Pikey, why not? I have never met you or David, we could have a pre leaving night there in Chiang Mai at a designated Pub or Restuarant. I like the idea..... :D

Pikey, just by the fact that you are based and living full-time in Thailand doesn't give you the right to say you are jealous. :D

Sorry. But despite the fact that I am based in LOS most of the year round. At the moment I'm on my inescapable three months work jail sentence stint back in farangland. And I truly, truly am jealous. Of both you, and Muzz.

Appreciate what you got.

Cheers,
Skid

OK, sounds good. Let's wait until nearer your departure date but give some thought to a location. I'm sure you'll get a decent turnout if it's for charity. Maybe you could hook it up with one of the MotoGP races on UBC as there is always a bunch of riders from here getting together for that.

Skid, don't be jealous - join us! :)

Cheers,

Pikey.
