Can you ride quads on thai roads legally

    Just a question. Can you ride a quad bike legally on thailands roads..I am getting conflicting reports..thanks

    No! unless you are a tourist in Pattaya, Samui, Phuket etc were the police tolerate them and are quick to hit you up for a fine when they need the cash.
    This is Thailand remember, the cops love shaking down anything that is not legal, and the renters love it because of the frequent crashes in the Ferang tourist areas, no insurance, big costs in cash.
    I lived in Samui for 5 years, so I seen it first hand.

    they are not road legal but tolerated in some places

    So many of them around all rice field's,, 50cc's mainly.
