Good Evenening Ladies and Gentlemen,

I dear friend asked me to help him witch some matter. He had an accident some time ago and is now being disabled for the rest of his life. Now my question: Has anyone ever been able to claim the disability compensation which is 500,000 THB. It looks like the insurance rejected this from the very first moment, but everywhere I read that this is covered. The insurance needs to parties to confess of being guilty in order to process this cause. I would be interested to hear from some fellow riders that have some valuable information on this matter. Unfortunately the injured person rented a bike and was unlucky so far. The insurance paid one hospital bill so far close to 35k THB. Any help more then apreciated. Thanks a lot everyone.

My compulsory insurance paid out 30,000 baht for my accident as per the policy.

The "Por Ror Bor” compulsory motorcycle should pay out as

Death, loss of vital organ, and permanent disability = up to ฿35,000
Medical expenses = up to ฿30,000
Coverage by which the driver is not at fault

Compensation:
Death and permanent disability = up to ฿300,000
Medical expenses = up to ฿80,000
Daily compensation = ฿200 per day (up to 20 days) up to ฿4,000
Loss of 2 body parts = ฿300,000 / loss of 1 body part = ฿250,000 / loss of a finger or more = ฿200,000

Info above sourced from Roojai

But it could be tricky if it is a rental bike, although it shouldn't be.

If they're trying to dodge paying out, you may want to get a lawyer onto the case?
