Yeah Julian was a character alright. I first met him at the Friendship Bridge going into Laos in October 2003
"David whom I met on the Loas border from Australia. His maps helped me to cross back into Thailand by selling them."

the beer keg fuel tank was a beauty.
In Oz he changed the motor from a VW Beetle to "a 1.6 dohc turbo Capri engine."

Julian's adventures were quite amazing & it is a shame he never wrote a book about his trip! We all had a good time with him here in Chiang Mai, hanging out at the Sax Bar then (eh Saxonator?)
