Looking for a good deal on a new Honda PCX 150 in or around Bangkok

Hello all,
Looking for a good deal on a PCX 150. I am living in Nonthaburi and have checked a local shop and they are asking 80,000 but not adding anything extra. The price list here says 69,000 wondering if anyone could tell me a better place to look. I am talking to Brian at Sumetcycle Co.,Ltd. 120/28-30 Prachacheun Rd. but it was about a used one which has 36,000km at 50,000 which I feel is too many miles for the price. I am waiting to see what his price is on a new one. He seems like a nice guy and is adding basic insurance and a cheapo helmet to all sales. He says he will discount another helmet if I want a better one.
Open to all suggestions, I will check out the dealer on Chang Watthana when they open on Wednesday or Thursday. I have cash in hand and looking for the best deal I can find.
Thanks in advance,
Jeff

I am looking for a PCX150 in Krabi and was told by only English speaking dealer that there is no stock for 8 months - any one confirm this?

Almost 80K for a 150cc scooter - darn, that's serious money!

Might as well go for the SH150i, it's a bit over 100K, but I read that it's twice as good as the PCX.

Very well made, great suspension and more power, plus 16" wheels, not those small donuts the PCX has.

You can pass it on to your grandchildren!

Yes KZ probably the SH is the better bike but having looked at one again and putting aside flat floor slab carrying capability and 16" wheels just think it's too dorky / old man looking. Apparently the new PCX has a 4 valve engine? For info was offered 95k on a new (with idle stop) SH in BKK last week.

Even 95K is a lot of money for a 150cc scooter but if I'd be in the market for one I'd take it over the PCX.

Everything is top quality, you get your money's worth, and I prefer the more mature look over the swoopy PCX which can get boring quickly.

I don't know but I doubt that the PCX has 4 valves; the SH is supposed to make 15 horses and I wouldn't ride a scooter with smaller rims than 16".

^ What you call "mature" I call hideous ;)

I'd take a "swoopy" looking PCX over that fugly SH1T50i any day of the week

I'm European, the SH seemed the better bike to me and more 'stylish'. Thais seem to prefer the American looks of the PCX. It was the larger wheels and better build quality of the SH that I went for in the end though.

The prices in Thai above are not including the road tax/ min. insurance or number plate, those costs are in brackets. First two give a jacket and crash helmet free, second one states it's not a full face helmet.

I love these scooters for BKK commutes and find the 150cc fuel injection engine they share to be just fine. I also have grown to love the idle stop technology which they also both share. Makes for a cleaner and more economical ride.
