I have a Ducati Monster 696 that I would like to bring into Thailand. I am wondering if the Temporary Import Permit/Lic. acts like a visa i.e. can I do the following:
1) Import the bike into Malaysia
2) Ride to Thailand and get a Temporary Import permit
3) At the end of the 6 mo. maximum can I take the bike to Malaysia, Laos, Burma to avoid an overstay fine.
4) Import the bike again with a temporary permit.
5) Wash rinse, repeat the whole process above.
Is the above possible? Is it worth the hassle?
