First a big thanks to Johngooding for reservation of the Versys in Chiang Mai.

We found King, Poprental with out problems, and he knew at once, who we were. He had found a Versys for us but without rack. 2 minutes later he was back with one with rack.

We had booked a hotel in 11 days 3 km from the old city. Our plan was to ride out from this hotel on daily trips - but we soon found out, that Chiang Mai had grown fast within the last 12 years. So after the first trip to the Samoeng Loop, we could see, that driving here in the North was just as easy as in the South - maybe even easier.

Then we packed our saddelbags and went for a 3-4 days trip to Pai, Fang, Mae Chan and all the northern. A really good trip an in dry weather.

Returning to Chiang Mai to plan a new trip and to get some clean t-shirts. We drove southeast via Hot, Mae Sariang, Mae Hong Son, Pai and the highest mountain Doi Inthanon was also visited as well as several national parks.

We have had some fantastic rides through the beautiful nature of the Northen Thailand. Have seen a lot of new things, lived some lovely places and the required pictures is also taken.

So thanks for your help all - we are looking forward to the next trip in the north of Thailand.
