I've been using a GoPro HD for a couple years now and it's a fantastic camera. Tough, good video quality, and easy to use.

BUT, it's rather big and bulky to mount on a helmet IMO.

Some friends are using ContourHD cameras and the video quality is excellent and they're much smaller / sleeker than the GoPro.

If you're trying to decide which one to choose here's an excellent comparison review:

Tony,

You of all people should know that a cam is what operates valves. A device that takes pictures is a camera.

It may sound cool to call them "cam" but it will eventually completely f##k up searches for the devices that open and close valves.

It never occurred to me that anyone on this forum would confuse a video cam with an engine cam...
As for farking up searches, well, sorry to say, but I've never been able to find anything on GT-Rider using the search function, but if the powers that be would like to edit my post for clarity, by all means, go right ahead.
Apologies for any confusion and/or consternation caused ;)
Happy New Year!

I just bought Contour's ROAM HD 1080P camera and took it for its first ride yesterday. Video quality seems quite good, but I obviously need to adjust rotating mount angle up a bit and deal with the wind noise somehow. Other than that, I like it. Its small, very easy to configure and use, waterproof by itself (no external plastic case), and $120 less than the GoPro2. Only downside I see is no 60FPS mode but I don't really have interest in slow motion editing anyway. Not sure how much you guys pay for electronic gear there or if shipping/duty kills any advantage but BikeBandit had the best online price I could find and I received it in 2 days. Newegg has some decent memory pricing right now too.
