Buying second hand from Maejo with just 2900kms on the clock and around 8 months old i got it early this year for Thb 150k, year 2024 model but not the top version. Owner had to sell as going back to work in S.Korea.

First ride impression: unstable.
Immediately dumped the crap original Dunlops Scootersomething and changed them to Bridgestone Battleaxes. Totally changed the stability of the scooter. But still i am a 100++ kilo guy and in turns Xmax still too unstable, so ordered rear YSS shocks via Pistonshop.
After these 2 crucial changes Xmax stability and handling are what i want it to be.
Of course i ride the big scooter more like a motorbike than a scooter so up to individual requirements on what to improve.
Another change will be to fit EBC sintered pads both front and back but i won't do the front forks, maybe only fill them with a less fluid grade oil such as a W15.

Later on as a luxury fitting i intend to buy a Yoshimura exhaust, fit K&N airfilter, do a remapping of the engine. Although the gains would be not much more on HP but it will free up the engine from the regulation stranglehold as it will revv easier.
Did fit some gooodies like Motowolf mobileholder, Givi topcase on original topcase holder. Other mods not really necessary.
Went to CNX several times on it and now do my shopping mainly on the Xmax as underseat storage huge, topcase adds another 32 liters. And once i strapped two boxes of BeerLao on the backseat on top of each other.

Topspeed is (with my bulk) around 145km/hr, weight around 185kg+ and power enough to move quickly from A to B. Fuel, well i do more than 300kms on 1 tank which is 13 liters.
When i get older it might be my only bike as when you age your reaction time goes down as is your eyesight.
You will want more storage and comfort and not handle 230++ kg bikes at all. Nor do you want to visit a petrol station every 150 kms.....
So anyone considering scaling down from a biggie to a maxi scooter, the Xmax300 is a very good choice and not as costly as the Tmax. Build quality, well, it's a Yamaha and very seldom have i any complaint.....

Checked actual fuel consumption while riding at a combined fast and slower pace. Did use of 3.5 liters per 100kms. As the XMAX 300 has a tank capacity of 13 liters that would mean between fuelling one could ride a comfortable 350 kms and still have some 20kms left before the scooty finally starves.

Today did a regular service, changed engineoil and oilfilter and didn't buy anything cheap but only top products. I also did fit the K&N YA2918 airfilter and was shocked to see in what bad condition the original airfilter was after not even 10,000kms. Also the filter for variator/clutch was totally clogged with gunk, dust and sand.

So fitted the new K&N and blew the variator filter from the inside out as just ordered 2 originals in BKK.
As a sidenote, the original airfilter some joker put oil on the outside, usually one can use the airfilter 2 cycles at least but through this alcohol/jabbadabba doo idea of oiling the original one it went straight into the trashbin.

A warning to all scooter riders where the airbox is mounted above the transmission/variator casing, as this is a very low lying point and exactly where dust/rubbish moves from the frontwheel, the filters there tend to soil very quickly. I will now clean both at an 5k km intervall.

Just check yours frequently.......

On the Honda ADV350, on dusty Northern Thailand roads, I replace the air filter every 3-4000km....it's intake position is not dissimilar to a vacuum cleaner }}}hahaha{{{

3-4000 i won't do as taking care of 2 bikes and 1 car and add to that Boy's 2 bikes makes it a bit costly but i'm gonna blow them inside out frequently as my garage is well equipped 55555555 but a 5-6k intervall is ok for me.

The 400B ADV350 filter unfortunately gets a bit oily from the crankcase breather that vents into the airbox, so blowing it can cause problems.
