Back to Yangon to get my new/old BSA B-31 and looking for a hotel recommendation.

Stayed at the Panda last time but they doubled their rates when I was there and pissed me off when I wanted an extra night so no more of my business for them
The Sedona as recommended by Franz is a bit too much at 300 USD

Myanmar hotel prices are up so much since the country is opening up and they still don't have many hotel rooms for all these new arrivals. So many hotels are fully booked this winter.
you can try New Aye Yar or ambassador if you want a good mid-range hotel but whatever you choose, book ahead, Myanmar is full this winter.

Robert, you could also try and book via an Travel-agent either here or in Yangon, I got the Sedona booked by our agent (not travel) for much less than that. Try one of the shops in the inner city. Good luck with the search & booking, rgds, FR

You could try the Thai owned Kandawgyi Palace Hotel on the edge of Kandawgyi lake.

It’s just outside the centre of town but close enough to get anywhere in the centre should you need to go in.

In the centre of town there’s the upscale Traders Hotel

or , around the corner opposite Scott’s Market is Central Hotel

The points mentioned by mandalaymotorbike are well made.
