Thanks for the tip. I am always afraid of upgrades as more often than not I like the older version better or they cause computer problems.
Reading the messages re: the Garmin upgrade I don't see any reason to take my chances with the new version. It sounds like little gain for a lot of headaches. _________________ Dave Early

Yes, many people on Garmin mapping forums are complaining about the 6.14.1 version. It seems that quite a few of the unofficial (home made) Garmin maps are suddenly not working anymore even though there was no problem in the previous versions.
In addition with the 6.14.1 version the symbols used for the waypoints are only available as large size and you can not switch to the small size anymore which was possible in the previous versions. I have successfully upgraded MS in the past and never had any problems. It did fix a few minor bugs, though. I will stay away from this one until I hear positive recommendations. If it ain't broke... _________________ http://beddhist.googlepages.com |
