Brooklyn Coffee & Jazz Bar
I ran into a German ex pat guy at Magic mountain in early November and he was most impressed with the Brooklyn breakfast. We did call by then and were equally impressed. So seeing as the wife and I are in Nan, we went there this morning and enjoyed a lovely breakfast and coffee. Our food was excellent and the coffee great. Well worth a visit if you’re in the neighbourhood and decent opening hours to boot. And plenty of off street parking.

Damn, how did I ever miss this place?
Absolutely superb. Great ambience, food, music & sound system.
I only found it searching for a wine / cocktail blues-jazz bar, and it delivered on all counts, although the live music is only on the weekends, Friday - Saturday nights. However, the jazz music selection and sound system were brilliant, so I shall return sooner rather than later.
McIntosh amps & JBL speakers.
There are two buildings, and in the second "shed building" they have a turntable spinning some 12-inch jazz vinyls, again with McIntosh amps plus JBL & Bose speakers.
Brooklyn has two owners, one from Nan & one from Bangkok.
One of them lived down under in Oz for 15 years & knows his stuff.
A steak fried rice had me well and truly satisfied in the evening.
I returned the next day for brekky but was disappointed with the bird-sized servings, so I had two.
Fried egg, bacon, and avocados on toast.
Ham and cheese omelette.
Although for the price you could not complain, especially with the excellent coffee.
Highly recommended.
