GT Rider Up Country Dinner # 4 - Lampang

June & the last Wednesday of the month is 27th of June.

Lampang is the designated rendezvous town.
Lampang is not really a small out of the way town but.

• Few riders seem to over night there
• It's closer to Chiang Mai than Tha Ton & only has one hill to ride over if it is wet.

So let's give that one a try.

• Please yourself how you get there, which way you ride.
• Please yourself where you stay.

Let's rendezvous in town somewhere by the river for quiet happy hour, chat & then find a convenient restaurant.
All easy peasy I reckon.

I'm booked into the City2 and will be at the Riverside Pub & Restaurant for happy hour, then we can pick a restaurant or simply eat at the Riverside.

The "Dual Sport" Rebel will be powering through the R108 roadworks early Wednesday morning, and may need a wash thereafter...
- I am staying at the Pin Hotel, located a convenient 5 minutes stroll from the Riverside Pub & Restaurant
- the forecast indicates it would be wise to ensure the umbrella is stowed in the saddlebags!

Lampang Wednesday 27th June 2018

A dry ride for most people.

I got away late as usual but had a wonderful blast down via Chiang Khong - Thoeng - Chiang Kham - Chun - Phayao - Ngao - Lampang.
Exiting my drive way it was misty rain, but by the time I hit the highway R1020 2 kms away on the outskirts of town it was dry n sunny & stayed that way for the rest of the run to Lampang.
Absolutely awesome riding in the wet season.

a relaxed memorable night was had by all.
Of note was the brilliant band with an outstanding repertoire of songs

Great to hear that you have had a good meet up in Lampang. Wish I could have been there as Lampang is my «home» in Thailand. But for the time being Im not in Thailand.
