Some golden oldies from my original Laos Trips in 95....

There were 2 trips in 1995

First trip was 10 - 17 February 1995.
Chiang Mai - Oudom Sai & Return
The bike was a Honda: Honda AX-1
Total distance was 1,638 kms.

Second trip was 5 - 18 November 1995
Chiang Mai to Jinhong & Return
The bike was Honda Baja.
Total distance was 2470 kms.

The Muang Sing (Pang Hai) local border crossing to China

German Joe from Joes Bike Team, Chiang Mai, crossing back over to Laos after a short excursion into China. Note the white chalk line on the dirt road where you must stop your bike.

Joe it's time we went for a ride in Laos again.

you must be in that unque position,you can see the development when the yrs go by, good and bad ones.

China border crossing,, not so much border guys,, why cant just ride there or did they have next post behind the corner??? :wink:

These shots are valuable memories for Laos lovers. What strikes me the most is to see the same "red/blue bike" on pictures since twenty years! It must have passed the 300K :)

Like all those that have commented before I'm absolutely blown away by the photos you are posting of days gone by; well actually to be truthful I'm bloody jealous that I wasn't there & wonder what the hell I was doing with my life......we only go 'round once!

Wow.. Golden Oldies - 1995.. Hard to believe that is nearly 20 years ago.
I was studying IT and Business while you were having a blast...
