On the third day, we left Pua very early to enjoy the morning light to take pictures. We traveled a part of the Boh Klua loop (1256 and 1081 roads) until Ban Bo Luang with several photographic stop (and off course coffee shop break 555).
Like the day before on the 1148 road, to go through these splendid landscapes is a delight on these roads where each new turn proposes to you a new painting of master whose only mother nature has the secret.
It's time to bring kids to the school.
A nice coffee break, just few km before Ban Bo Luang ...
A nice place near the river for our lunch Break
After an excellent Issan lunch at the edge of a beautiful river, we made a stop at the village of Ban Bo Luang (just before Bo Klua) to attend the salt extraction and of course to buy some. The walk in the village and the explanations about the extraction process and the different qualities of salt were really interesting. In fact, there are two main salt water wells to see in Ban Bo Luang (the first is located near the river where a nice bamboo bridge connects to a small street restaurant on the other bank and the second saltwater well is a little further on your left in the main street of the village).
We then reached Santi Suk by choosing the 1333 road then the 1275 and finally reach Nan by a part of the 1169 road which offers great views at the end of the evening. Regarding the road 1333, it is beautiful but not in good condition and I have not seen a spot to refuel. Take your precautions to Boh Klua for example. We only met peasants who worked in their lands and crossed few mountain villages. This road is not frequented by tourists but offers stunning landscapes scenery.
It is a pure happiness and a delight to ride on this small road that integrates so well with the mountain. A real pleasure for the eyes and a big smile will brighten your face after every turn 555
The end of this special Valentine's day on the 1061 road with beautiful sunset ... So romantic lol
Thank you for reading this trip report and i hope to meet you soon on the beautiful Northem roads ...
