Bike rental Vietenne - drop off Bangkok

Hi

I have a month to tour around SE Asia. I was wondering would it be at all possible to rent a bike in Vientiane and drop it off in Bangkok (my flights out of Bangkok) or should I just change my flight and rent a bike in Thailand?

I would be willing to buy a bike if I could be sure of selling it close to its original value, and with just a month for traveling I don't want to get bogged down trying to sell it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Eldon, You won't be able to rent in Vientiane and return to Bangkok. The thing to do is rent a bike in Vientiane and do the riding you want to do in Lao and then rent in Thailand where you want to ride. Read thru Davids web site for some education on how things operate here. Lots of Rental shops in Chiang Mai and Pattaya as well. John
