My first CBR was stolen about a year ago. The police came and took the usual photos of me and where my bike WAS. Then we filed some paperwork and the cops kept the green book. A month later they found the stripped frame and after much paperwork I could take it home. When I asked for the green book, they said the bike is officially stolen, it says so in the computer, and I wouldn't get the book back. Ever since the frame is sitting in the backyard.
Is there any way I can get the book back? At least then I could try to sell the frame with papers and get some of my money back.
