Bira racetrack has been bought by owners of the nearby golf club who will close the track soon and develop the land for houses and gplfing facilities.

Ah, so the rumor is true... Sad, but honestly, BIRA's been deteriorating for a long time and it's been obvious that the owner's have just been milking it in recent years.

Hope some of the newer tracks like Bonanza and Kaeng Krachan will use this as an opportunity to improve to international standards, but TiT, not holding my breath...
