  4. There's a 2004 F650GS Dakar with 1,500km at Big Biker in Udon Thani for 385,000 if you're still looking.

  5. Hi,

Concerning the Dakar in Udon Thani. We saw the bike and it looks excellent! BUT there is no chance of ever getting legal paper and book on the bike - so be fore warned.

  6. I don't have the problem of registration in Thailand as would export any purchase immediately to Laos. I didnt buy it due to price. A F650GS new (tax free) in Bangkok is the same price. I ended up buying a much cheaper Transalp in Bangkok.

  7. Since the current list price for a new BMW F650GS is 560,000 baht at the BMW dealer, where in Bangkok did you find a new one for 385,000 baht?

  9. How does a person qualify for these duty-free prices? Do you have to work for an embassy?

  10. Yes, or work for an NGO in Laos. My enquiries to BMW were for a bike registered in Laos. No need to pay Thai taxes but would have to pay Lao taxes if not exempt.
