I've bought two used CBR's and was assured they'd had no accidents - and later it turned out they both must have been dropped. I saved some money over a new one, but since they're only 65K new, my third CBR will be a brand new one - if the new model will look like the european CBR 125 - it has a way better looking fairing and headlights!
Check the frame where the radiator is connected - sometimes the brackets are bent; that and new plastic is a sure sign the bike went down!
