Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai-Chiang Saen-Chiang Khong-Thoeng-Chiang Kham-Phayao-Mae Khachan-Chiang Mai

Overnight in Chiang Khong at Tamila GH. 250 baht for ok room. I do not know when they build this boulevard but I preferred before, right on the river. Dinner in Bamboo Guesthouse. Apparently best Mexican Food but in my opinion average. The owner of the place (the guy with the long hair) I found very arrogant and tried to show off all the time that he prefers to be a Farang. Not friendly at all. I will not go back to this place. The evening ended in Madame Country, a good place !
Roads generally good to very good. On 1020 going from Chiang Khong to Thoeng a lot of big trucks trying to push us off the road. I particularly like 120 from Phayao to Mae Khachan. Rest of the routing from Chiang Khong to Chiang Mai not really impressive, who knows more scenic road ?
