Located 15 kms S-W of Lampang was first stop catching up on Lampang attractions.
This spectacular wooden Wat is one of the most highly revered temples in Thailand; & is a fortified temple or wiang; that was built on top of an earth mound and is surrounded by high brick walls. Arguably the most beautiful wooden Lanna temple it is thought to have been built been built by Queen Chamadevi.
Inside the fortified temple complex there are 6 parts of note, chedis & viharns = it takes time look around.
Well worth a look sometime. It takes time & is best visited with a night in Lampang after your visit.
