Hi All,
Few pics of the scenery on the way over to the music Festival..
I stayed on an extra day and did a trip up to Ruk Tai and the Long Neck village by the border on Sunday..
That is one steep hairpin road that goes up from 200+ metres to 1000 metres in very quick time up to Ruk Tai..
You wouldn't want to miss a gear.. If you don't drop it.. you will be rolling backwards and in the bushes pretty quick sharp..
(GPS track and graph to come soon).
The road out to the Long Neck village is slippery with slime where the water runs over the crossings.. Basically a road built under the creeks that cross along the way..
Felt the bike move big time on one of the crossings.. Then tried as much as possible to stick where the car tracks go. Not always possible to see though..
Great little twisty road out there... Track to follow from Ruk Tai to the Long Neck village.. Sorry can't remember the name right now..
CNX.. All meet up at the Kafe... Must have been about 10 bikes for the off..
Stop along the way at the pine forest.. lovely and cool..
Then we meet up half way with Tony and John's crew for lunch... So many bikes in one little place..
Just before we get to Mae Hong Son the combined BKK and CNX group stopped for a photo.. 15 bikes..
Except David's as it was on the road so people knew where to stop.
What a back drop.. Nice place to stop for the Memorial photo
Next magical Mae Hong Son..
Time for a bit of exploring around MHS on the Sunday.
Up to Ruk Tai
The road back.. just before Pai. You can see the season change and the road is lined with sunflowers
