Located on the eastern Bypass just 650 metres north of the R1232 intersection / 250 metres south of the Esso gas station.

^ How did the oil price compare to online David ?


I think it was about 2 x years ago that ST opened its doors in that location, like you say its mainly for parts of the smaller scooters ;)

I think the Shell 15-50 was 370 a litre.
I'm happy with the box of 12 I got delivered from Bangkok & am sharing with Richard.
That's the way to go. Almost 50 baht a litre cheaper!

Wimon Camera in a small soi behind the Sabai Inn now stocks Oneall gear - helmets, boots, jerseys. pants & goves.

The gear is sourced from Paddock in Bangkok & they claim to be able to get any Paddock products for sale in Chiang Rai, for the same price as Bkk.

DD Helmets Chiang Rai.

Looking for a helmet for the pocket rocket, we first visited the most convenient shop" the corner helmet shop, opposite Kong's.
The pocket rocket was not pleased or satisfied enough such we asked for another shop suggestion.
The super friendly lady owner recommended us to DD helmets as having the biggest range of lids.
The Chiang Rai Motoshop probably has the best helmet selection in Chiang Rai, however DD was the most convenient place to get to.

DD has been operating at the same location for 15 years & the female owner is also a friendly gal, or she just warmed to the pocket rocket selecting a helmet like a lady's handbag or a pair of shoes.

DD is divided into two sections.
A small aircon section with upmarket helmets and a large open air section for the budget conscious, & lids for kids going to school.

They also have some LS2 & Shark helmets.

The main helmets appear to be Real - Index - Avex - Space Crown.

And what did the pocket rocket select?
An open face with a internal sun visor, a light smoked visor & a pretty gray colour.

1850 baht. Oh well, let's see how we go in the coming months.
