Cross The Border Lao To Thailand

Hey everyone I'm currently traveling around Lao with a Honda wave it's freaking awesome!!!

I would like to buy a Honda dream or Honda C90 to go back to Thailand then bring it back to my home country.

The thing it's seem very complicated to cross the border with the motorbike under 100cc right? I tried to find some thread about this but actually on my iPhone it's hard to find some information...

Is it easy to cross the border?
What document I need?
Can I put the motorbike on the pick up at the border?

Btw thanks for your website it seems to be a gold mine.

Old rules being enforced.. No bikes under 250cc to cross from Thai to Lao.
No Lao bikes from Lao to Thai unless you get some special permissions (Forget about that)

Just ride your bike in Lao and then ride another bike in Thailand.
Easiest and workable solution

I'll think about coming back in Asia and buy a 250 to ride around. Need to make some research first, see you guys.
