[h=1]2012 Cutting boards[/h] Passing a village on the way from Roi Et to Phon Tong I saw that they sold there the wooden cutting boards mainly made by hard tamarind trees you see everywhere in Thailand. By chance I took a small road on the right side - one of those typical "exploration tours" with the bike where I often find hidden but interesting places - and I drove through a small forest full of smoke. The reason were charcoal pits, but they only took the rests of wood to produce the coal - the main work was the production of those cutting boards I saw passing the village. The usual procedure followed: Stranger stops his bigbike - everybody looks and laughs (we are in Thailand were people smile and don't grumble when they see strangers!) - small talk about this and that with big laughter again - they give me a glass with fresh'n cold water - and then:BIG PHOTOSESSION!! Have a look yourself....
