Shine Sane now has a smart 3 story cell block replacing the old restaurant.
There are lots of windows & a nice deck on the top floor.

An excellent location, on the corner, just a few metres up from the 7-11 in the centre of town.
A great spot to watch the Doi Mae Salong world pass by - walking & riding.
Ms Jeen the owner is a honey
Plus the coffee is damn good
as is the ham cheese egg croissants
great for a quick bite if you're on the move.

Xin Shi Dai Bakery
An interesting "street level" restaurant.
An outstanding collection of cakes, sponges & croissants!
A cubby hole of a place, jammed up against the street, with seating below street level.
Genuine good fried rice & pizza. We were astounded how good both were.
They have a real double pizza oven out the back, & my pizza was served with a proper pizza knife & cutting wheel.
The coffee is also good, as is the broken English. A fun entertaining place with a dynamic elderly couple of characters.
Well recommended for something unique!

Cafe Yes I Do
A spacious coffeeshop with a view at the "south" That Ton end of town.
My favourite Sweet Mae Salong is now gone & the dynamics of DMs have changed considerably so I was looking for a convenient new establishment for a nice cuppa.
And the yes, with Yes I Do, I really hit the jackpot, coffee wise - one of the best cuppas I have ever had. I was a bit taken a back, totally surprised, but this Akha run establishments has the certificates to back it all up!
Pop in to try out their beans. Plenty of seating.
Kick back to soak up a nice cuppa & the view.
I look forward to going back & reconfirming the quality of another cuppa @ Yes I Do.
