Hi

After almost 15 years in Thailand my wife, kids and I are moving back the UK and I'd like to take my bike (HD Nightster).

Does anyone have any experience of doing this and can recommend shippers, or offer any advice? Can anyone clarify the Duty i will have to pay on arrival in the UK?

Cheers

Allied Pickford's are probably as good as anyone for shipping. I used them for UK to Thailand in 2007 & have no complaints at all. Very professional & nothing damaged. However, I did not ship a motorcycle but they do have the facility. As for duty - I think (it used to be) if you have owned the vehicle/bike for a certain length of time & been out the country for a period, there should be no or very little duty. You've been away 15 years so should not be a big problem. Suggest you check out the UK Government websites - they may have up to date info that will help you.
