Gasoline prices

In spite of the fuel hike in 2008, and the economic downturn thereafter, could anyone update what's the price of gasoline in Laos and Thailand, with reference to the octane level?

Can check this www site for Bangkok area prices, updated daily. BTW, diesel came down 60 satang yesterday.

Diesel 7140 Kip and Gsoline 81 something kip (sorry forgot the latest price today 181108). 1 baht is 240 Kip and 1 USD is about 8400 Kip

Things change even in Laos. Fuel prices will be lowered this week according to the Vientiane Times.

Premium petrol from 8940 to 7860 Kip.liter
Regular petrol from 8110 to 7340 Kip/liter
Diesl from 7140 to 6500 Kip.liter

Prices in the provinces will slightly different.

For those interested in fuel prices, etc, in Laos, the Lao State Fuel company now published the fuel prices in the major towns in Laos. See

From this information it appears that 91 is available all over the country but that Super (95) is only available in Vientiane.

After bouncing around Laos for two weeks 91 was available everywhere and only found 95 in a small gas stop in Vientienne as per Auke's post.

Just to ask.Can RON 91 there be used by bike year 1995? Is there any other chemical to be put together in the tank? Since in my country we use RON95 and RON97 i'm afraid that the engine will be jerking if i use RON91. Tq

u can buy aditive to increase the ron..it can buy from spare part shop if u from malaysia. :arrow: :arrow:
i always bring the ron tablet if i ride in Laos/combodia..even china..
