Hi all,

Just watched this movie and thought it was excellent. For those of you that don't know about the film, it's based on a true story about Kiwi Burt Munro's Landspeed Record dream and his 1967 attempt at Bonneville Salt Flats and stars Anthony Hopkins.

I'm going to show it again at the Jai-Yen Cafe next friday (23rd June) at 7pm if anyone is interested in dropping by.

Cheers,

Jeff.

I agree with you Jeff, I am currently in Sydney OZ, and have seen it twice, great film and hard to believe he still holds some of the records. Another good film is The Long Way Round, quite amazing what these guys did on their BM GS's.

I have The Long Way Round too and show episodes in the bar. It's good stuff but obviously a "big buck" effort. Have you heard of "Mondo Enduro"? 5 guys on Suzi DR350s doing in their words "the longest possible route in the shortest possible time". Great show and they do it on a budget of probably less than a tenth of LWR.

Cheers,

Jeff.
