GTR Dinner Options

The original idea for these dinners was to get guys to hang out & stay in smaller amphurs or towns that they would not normally stay in because of a lack of language skills or the towns may be too quiet.
I've spent considerable time over the years researching places and seem to run out of new "uncharted" destinations.

However, I see now that some of these little towns have developed and grown up a little.
The challenge is sometimes to find venues that are conveniently close together in town so that we get to experience the local charm downtown and not places that are strung out for kms on the super highway.

With that in mind, I have collated some info for the future.
For consideration in the coming months if there is interest.

We've had some great dinners in little towns that many of us just normally ride on through because it looks as if there is not much going on.
But when we take a bit of time to look around, most of them have comfy accommodation, a place for a good meal, a beer & some music.

There have been many brilliant surprises so far.

When i go to such small towns i like to do more than socialusing, having dinner and some beers. Usually i look for some curvy roads nearby, some natural attractions and some off the beaten track marvels like unknown waterfalls, temples, lakes or historical buildings.

I would add to the future list towns like Phua, Boklua, Khun Yuam, Mae Chaem, Mae La Noi, Phrao and even Chae Hom.

Right now i find it more wise to go to towns of active GTR members first to try to restart personal contacts and get us active again.

Just my 5 cent of thoughts.

Seemed an intersting town when passing through this week. Have seen a nice place near an outside bridge over the river there too.
