Thinking of buying a Honda XR400 (or maybe a Suzuki DRZ 400) in Phnom Penh.
Posted a question on the "any message" board weighing up pros/cons of each
Interested in others thoughts and/or bikes for sale
Thanks

Bill, both bikes are great 400s Ive riden xrs and owned a drz, loved the button start.
The drz is a more modern bike and is very user friendly, open up the air box to allow it to breath better, take any restictor washers out of the exaust, and you will pick uo extra horses, but at the end of the day price and wear count, so bill watcha guna du?

Hi Scott
Thanks for the feedback.
Can you tell me what sort of fuel economy you get with Suzuki during highway use?
Not sure what you meant by price and wear count.
Are the more expensive XR's known for greater longitivity ?
Thanks

Bought a DRZ 400 brand new Dec last year, it runs really great, about 4 litre in 100 km on highway. I also have a XR 250 but after I bought the DRZ, I don't ride the XR very much.
I put an HP exhaust on it and enjoy the extra horses, in Cambodia it's also good if people hear you coming.
Flying bike in PP has served me good and I have bought many bikes from them over the years.
Good luck

Thanks Hovis
Thats ~25km/litre which is very acceptable.
Flying bike is one of the shops I test rode bikes from.
They seem fairly straightup
