Houei Sai to Poung to Muang Meung Xieng Dao

Houei Sai to Poung to Muang Meung & Xieng Dao via Nam You.

Seems to me I saw a posting on this route some time ago. Have been searching for it, no joy.

Last year I stopped at Poung and asked at the checkpoint (for bird flu?) about the road, was told it'd be about three hours, didn't have time, so continued on to Houei Sai.

Want to go that way again one day.

Anyone remember that older posting to GT? I've scrolled down through several pages and nothing caught my eye.

I think that Mark Rossi did this early this year but from Xieng Dao to Houayxai - see https://www.gt-rider.com/thailand-motorc ... t5301.html for the boat trip to Xiang Dao.

However, I can't find a trip report for the road trip to Huay Xai and also don't remember a trip report so nothing may have been written up about it. Best is to contact Mark (Happy Feet) directly or PM him.
