Kanchanaburi Trail riding

Has anyone done any trail riding in Kanchanaburi province? I know a lot of it is designated national park (and a militarised zone being so close to the Burmese border), so perhaps that's why I can't find any organised tours there. Seems like with all the virgin forest cover there it could make for some nice riding. And it is close to Bangkok...

I used to live in Sangkhlaburi and went on a fair amount of forest adventures, though being out in the woods alone in a sensitive border area made me feel a little nervous. I figured I could outrun most people on my XR250! However, once I was stopped by a group of armed Thai army rangers who basically told me I was stupid to be there and it was not safe. I think that was my last real trail ride in the area...
