Klx 250 to 331 problems

I seem to be using oil and the bike only revs to 8000rpm
is there a shop I can send it to to get checked out
the power delivery is week
are there reputable shops that can see if I have a problem as I was out of oil after a 80 klm journey
I will take the bike anywhere in thailand

Damn man, I built that 331 for you... Please let me know when you find out what's wrong with it! There are shops in Bangkok and Chiang Mai that do big bore installs and repairs, but I know both are far for you... Hopefully someone will chime in with a shop in your area. Keep us posted!

Don't beet yourself up Tony remember I smashed it around Khow thow off road track and fell off about 6 times
i think it is probably something I have done after you fixed it
please don't think I blame you in any way I have treated it rough

I think that Nat at Piston Shop in Chiang Mai knows where to get big bore kits for the KLX done in Chiang Mai. Brian MotoMania had one done via Piston Shop I think.

My guess is a broken piston ring, given the massive oil consumption and failure
to rev properly. A compression test will quickly show the problem. And yes,
Brian did have his done at the piston shop.

Ooops sorry about that, somehow I was sure that Nat had done the conversion.
Just curious, is the piston and ring set that is used is a Kawasaki original part ?
Does the bike smoke a lot now ?
